The community college in my town offered, to the public, a class for anyone interested in learning how to crochet. I have always been interested in the art of crochet. My grandmother crocheted many beautiful doilies that I have displayed throughout my house. I have tried to teach myself, but I wanted to learn the basics.
Thus far, I have learned how to make a slip knot, a chain, and last night I learned how to crochet the double crochet.
This is the double crochet. I am going to pull this apart and start again. I want to practice. Next week for homework, we have to crochet together a rectangle.
And can you guess what I am going to make and expand with my rectangle.....
wait for it.......
A Scarf!!!!!
You guessed it. Another scarf.
So many types of yarn to choose from. So many colors. So little time!
This is a picture of one of the doilies that my grandmother crocheted, oh so many years ago.
I have used this doily many times in my pictures.
I am not sure, but I have heard this called the pineapple stitch. If anyone knows what the actual name of this pattern is, please leave me the information in the comments below.
Everyone, thank you for reading
Have a blessed day!
