You will need:
- 2 heads of cauliflower
- 1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Wash cauliflower. Cut off and discard the stem. Cut the cauliflower into small, bite sized florets.
- In a large bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, black pepper, and salt. Add the cauliflower and thoroughly mix to coat each piece of cauliflower.
- Place cauliflower pieces onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 1 hour. Turn cauliflower 2 times during cooking, until each piece has a nice golden brown color.The browner they are, the better!
- Serve with your favorite condiment and Enjoy.
These baked cauliflower fries are much healthier for you than the processed frozen french fries. Even though roasted cauliflower fries does not sound exotic and fancy, roasting the cauliflower makes it a desired vegetable that you just can not get enough of. I promise you will make this recipe many times and mix it up by adding your own desired ingredients. For example, red pepper flakes would spice these cauliflower fries up a bit.
