Easy 10 Minute Salsa Using Fresh Ingredients

Easy Homemade Salsa



This simple recipe is easy to make with a few ingredients. Mix and match the ingredients to your liking. Place all ingredients in the food processor, and you will have delicious salsa ready to eat in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients for the salsa: 

1 onion, peeled 
1 clove garlic 
1 hot pepper, cored and seeded. Unless you prefer very hot and spicy salsa, then leave whole. 
4 tomatoes, quartered 
1/4 cup cilantro 
1/2 teaspoon cumin 
1 tablespoon lime juice 
Salt and pepper to taste 
Hot sauce, optional

To prepare:

With your food processor, drop in onion, garlic, and hot pepper. Scrape the bowl as needed.

Add tomatoes, cilantro, cumin, salt and pepper. Add hot sauce if desired. Pulse until desired texture, scraping bowl as needed.

This easy, simple recipe is great for a quick addition to an evening meal or whip up a batch of the salsa for a family gathering.

  2. Sounds delicious. But I have to be really careful with foods like this. I have had acid reflux problems for nearly 30 years, and other problems that keep me from having many yummy foods.

    1. Yes, the tomatoes are very acidic. And that jalapeno did give it a little kick. Lol.

  4. We love salsa in the summertime. For some reason it's one of the few things the Mr. enjoys making - salsa, margaritas, and anything on the grill. Yours looks delicious!
